Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn, an American actress. She is best known for her part as Skyler White in the AMC Drama series Breaking Bad for which she won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in the Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. Alongside her roles as Martha Bullock and Jean Ward, she has appeared in The Practice. Anna Gunn, born 1968 in Sante Fe New Mexico fell attracted to acting during preparation for her first performance before moving to Ohio. She attended Northwestern University to study theatre and also spent time at the British American Drama Academy. Anna had a brief stint working in Chicago theater before transitioning to TV and film roles. In 1992, Anna landed her first big part in the role of Arden in the 29th episode of Down the Shore. In the early 90s she was a frequent guest in TV and film including Seinfeld or NYPD Blue. Martha Bullock, a character which she played for two years on Deadwood's season two. In 2008, she was picked in the role of Skyler on Breaking Bad. In addition, she was a part of the Deadwood movie and Sully. Gunn also starred in David Schwimmer directed production Sex With Strangers. The actress starred as Numbered Days, which is a four-part audio show that premiered in 2022. The love story between Walter White and his wife Skyler is usually the main focus of the narrative in Breaking Bad with the strained pull on their relationship and the eventual end of their relationship echoing the same storyline of Walter White's last years of his life.
